As the Xbox Tokyo Game Show came to a close, one of the last presentations featured more details from Xbox's newest headlining partner, Kojima Productions. Announced earlier this week, the green brand will be taking on the publishing rights of PHYSINT, Hideo Kojima's next venture into action espionage, something he's coined since the success of the Metal Gear series. This came after PlayStation made the decision to opt out, due to budget reasons.
In the video, Hideo Kojima goes over a few details about the state of OD KNOCK, which has resumed development after the 2024-25 SAG-AFTRA strike caused a halt in production. Regarding PHYSINT, while some cast members were revealed in 2025, Kojima announced that the actor taking on the role as the lead will be Bill Skarsgard. The news became official September 17th, as a new poster was revealed with he and co-star Charlee Fraser.
“I'm delighted to confirm the lead role for PHYSINT will be Bill Skarsgård,” Kojima stated in an official press release. “We are both long-time fans of each other’s work, and we've decided to embark on this new adventure together. The costume fittings, scans, and camera tests we conducted with Bill and Charlee earlier this year gave me tremendous confidence in the direction of the project.”

Skarsgard received universal praise for his portrayal of Pennywise the Clown in Zach Greggors Barbarian, Nosferatu, The Crow, and his role as Pennywise in It, and the television prequel It: Welcome to Derry.
