The infamous collect-a-thon will be a part of the Nintendo 64 catalog
The Nintendo 64 has its share of classic games. If the platform became notorious for one offshoot of gaming, it was puzzle-solving collectors developed by Rare, and that became a staple for the studio. The newest addition to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack subscription service will be Donkey Kong 64.
Released in 1999, DK64 was considered one of the more unpleasant of this style. It is beloved for its characterization, humor, and catchy DK Rap, but it did little to separate itself from contemporaries like Super Mario 64, Jet Force Gemini, and Banjo-Kazooie. It does hold the distinction of being the only 3D Donkey Kong game until 2025's Donkey Kong Bananza. Despite the game's reputation, it's not too surprising to see it added to the catalog. This is the same company that recently released the Virtual Boy catalog and a peripheral.
It will be available June 4th. Access will require the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.

This title is a 3D action game for the Nintendo 64 released in 1999. In addition to the familiar Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, the cute Tiny Kong, the comical Lanky Kong, and the strong Chunky Kong all play their roles, each utilizing their unique personalities. Battles against the Kremling army unfold across eight vast stages, where you progress while collecting hidden "Golden Bananas." There are also various other activities, such as collecting coins and blueprints, and taking pictures of fairies. Be sure to explore every corner of the game!
