An addition for the Nintendo 64 library, it's Killer Instinct Gold. An updated home port of Rare's arcade tournament fighter released in 1996. And it's available NOW. Access requires a subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack.

A counterpart of sorts to the Mortal Kombat series, one of Killer Instinct's defining traits is its intense, lightning fast chain combo system. Gold's inclusion of the training system (a revolutionary feature in the burgeoning days of fighting games) allowed players to adequately practice the nuances of chaining attacks. With finishing moves, combo finishers, and the defensive combo breaker mechanic, battle through the 10 combatants in single player mode, or war it out with a friend in the 5-on-5 elimination mode.

The Nintendo 64 did not have a strong line-up of fighting games, Killer Instinct Gold was a standout on the platform.
