Nintendo Switch Online broadens its SNES catalog for the month of March. These inclusions are all classic titles from Japanese developer Koei, before their merger with Tecmo. Blend strategy and simulation with the exploration career building RPG, Uncharted Waters: New Horizons. Defend your territory and expand your empire in the fourth entry in the long-running series, Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire. And finally, two offerings of the tactical strategy RPG franchise, Nobunaga's Ambition, and Nobunaga's Ambition: Lord of Darkness.

These games will be available March 28th (requires a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online)

Nobunaga's Ambition - One of the most successful titles under the Koei library, play as Nobunaga or one of the other Daimyos to unify Japan. Select from four historical scenarios "Battle for the East" (beginning in 1560), "Daimyo Power Struggles" (1560), "Ambition Untamed" (1571), and "Road Towards Unification" (1582). Allocate your resources and raise powerful military forces in tactical turn-based battles, with each fight lasting a season. But it's more than simply battles; improve your states, boost your regions, and broaden your political influence for the best resources to ensure success. Original release date: March 1991

The console versions of the game were praised for the complex interface proving to be as accessible as they are, which was quite progressive for the time. The menu navigation can be a little daunting. Nobunaga's Ambition: Lord of Darkness, released in 1990, boasts many similar mechanics, while adding the tea ceremony to the game, can aid in boosting your culture, which is necessary for increasing your economy.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire - The last game in the series to be released for the Super Nintendo, Wall of Fire plays similar to the previous installments; army-building grand simulators where you manage your military might against the opposition by claiming territories. Manage character traits (melee prowess, magical ability, intellect, loyalty, etc.) to wage influence during wartime or domestic affairs. The enhanced graphics on the SNES version earns it great praise, and is revered for its effects and memorable music. Original release date: February 1994

Uncharted Waters: New Horizons - A sequel to the first entry, New Horizons broadens the selection of playable characters to six; João Franco, Catalina Erantzo, Otto Baynes, Ernst von Bohr, Pietro Conti, and Ali Vezas. Progress through the game by mastering each character's career profession. Battles play out in turn-based action, sail throughout the seas, increase your influence, and expand your trade routes to maximize your profits. Original release date: February 1993
