Genshin Impact Previews Its Sunspray Summer Resort

Before heading off to Nod-Krai, Genshin Impact is taking the Traveler and Paimon to a new location that will be the central area for its fifth summer-themed event to kick off version 5.8. The Sunspray Summer Resort will take place from July 30th to August 18th, where players will have a chance to earn 1,000 primogems (in-game currency that is redeemed for wishing on premium weapons and characters) through map exploration and minigames. The event will be taking place in the latest region, Natlan.

NEW CHARACTER & WEAPONS

The first of the new characters to be featured (possibly in Nod-Krai...?), Ineffa is a malfunctioning robot from Schnezhnya that has made a journey to seek out the Traveler and Paimon. She will be a 5* Electro polearm support capable of generating a shield. You have the ability to wish on her event banner, as well as her signature 5* weapon, the Fractured Halo. It seems Ineffa will also introduce a new reaction to Genshin Impact, Lunar Charged. it will serve as a secondary reaction in combat based on CRIT rate and CRIT damage.

NEW OUTFITS: YELAN & BENNETT

New version content will include two brand new outfits for 5* character Yelan (Tranquil Banquet) and the 4* character Bennett (Adventures in Blazing Hue). Bennett's alternate outfit can be obtained through completing tasks during the Sunspray Summer Resort. Yelan's can be purchased from the from the shop after the 5.8 update with a limited time discount. Through completion of events, you can also earn a free 4* Claymore weapon, Flame-Forged Insight.
