Hideo Kojima will get his big Hollywood break...sort of. The legendary game designer and creative mind behind the Metal Gear series and now Death Stranding is set to lend his voice to the Japanese dub of Disney's Zootopia 2. Perhaps something that was a long time coming for the Kojima. His video games have been renowned for blending the cinematic elements of major motion picture directing and intuitive gameplay that can be captivating.

According to an official press release, Kojima was approached directly by Zootopia 2's director Jared Bush to provide his voice to the character Paul Molebrandt, a mole who works in the Zootopia Police Station with Judy and Nick. Kojima accepted the opportunity immediately.

The star-studded Japanese voice cast includes Akira Emoto (Shin Godzilla), Masahiro Takashima (Kaguya-sama: Love is War), and Noriko Eguchi (The Story of Yonosuke). Hideo Kojima works with a good number of Hollywood stars for his recent games, namely talent like Debra Wilson (known mostly for her time on the sketch comedy television series MADtv), Conan O'Brien, Mads Mikkelson. Norman Reedus, of course stars as Sam Porter Bridges in the death Stranding game, so he's shown a strong interest in wanting to transcend video games into movies. One of his good friends, Guillermo del Toro, advised him not to break into Hollywood and remain in video games.

Zootopia 2 has hit theaters in the United States on November 26th, and will make its debut in Japan December 5th. Kojima's Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, is nominated at The Game Awards for Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, and Best Narrative.
