NetEase Announces Marvel Rivals' First PvE Mode

Marvel Rivals, the team-based hero shooter is adding its first player vs environment mode to the game. As a tie-in with the Disney+ animated series Marvel Zombies, this aptly named "Zombie Mode" pits heroes against swarms of the undead. In this mode, you can select from The Punisher, Jeff, Thor, Blade, and Magik with the objective being to survive the horde and battle Queen of the Undead and Zombie Namor.

Executive producer Danny Koo elaborates:

"We've also given each hero some unique abilities. Charge through the hordes as Jeff, slice and dice with Blade's bouncing Moon Blades, shock zombies with Thor in his persistent Awakened state, or go berserk as Magik in her unlimited Darkchild form. Showcase your epic combat skills against the zombie swarms and tough bosses!"

This mode launches on October 23rd. Marvel Rivals is free-to-play for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Windows. Marvel Rivals currently sits at one season with four episodes, and can be seen on Disney+. The team is hopeful for a season 2, which has not been confirmed.
