Nintendo Reveals Mario Kart World Direct Runtime

Headlining the Nintendo Switch 2 will be the latest entry in the company's flagship party racer, Mario Kart World. More information regarding the game during tomorrow's Nintendo Direct, which will focus entirely on Mario Kart World.

According to Nintendo, the Direct will "provide detailed information about the Nintendo Switch 2 software." the livestream will begin 6a.m. PT/9a.m. ET, and will run for roughly 15 minutes. Among the major changes coming to Mario Kart World is the ability to drive ANYWHERE, marking the first time in the series you can explore an open world. Instead of four separate races in Grand Prix mode, racers must now drive to the course in order to start the action. It has been speculated that this feature may be toggled on or off, but that may be revealed during the presentation.

Mario Kart World will launch alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5th. While the release date is not expected to change, there is still no definitive information on the hybrid console's pricing or ability to pre-order as of this writing. The effects of the tariffs inflicted by the US administration leaves information very ambiguous.
