One of the PlayStation 5's most popular games will be battling tyranny via cardboard. Helldivers II will be getting a boardgame version, produced by Steamforged Games. Announced on March 13th, his crowdfunded project is hosted by Gamefound, the Poland-based alternative to Kickstarter, and will go live April 8th for backing and pre-orders.
The forces of tyranny never rest, and now, thanks to the freedom-loving minds at Steamforged Games, the fight for Managed Democracy is deploying straight into your future game nights.

"We are beyond thrilled to announce this glorious, cooperative, explosion-filled adaptation of the fastest-selling PlayStation video game of all time, developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment," Steamforged's official update reads.
"In this 1-4 player tactical action board game, every decision can mean the difference between victory and total annihilation in service of Super Earth.
Just like in the field, you’ll face evolving threats, unpredictable objectives, and the ever-present danger of friendly fire. Because let’s be honest — you will drop an Eagle Airstrike on your squadmate."
Based out of Manchester, UK, Steamforged has a history of adapting popular video game franchises, into tabletop co-op experiences. While the studio does not have a spotless record, such as misprint issues in the Dark Souls Collector's Edition rulebooks and spotty customer service, they are noted for their work on critically acclaimed Dark Souls, Monster Hunter, Elden Ring, and Resident Evil, adopting mechanics from digital to analog. There isn't a lot of information as of this writing, but the noted designers are Nicholas Yu (Dungeons & Dragons: Onslaught) Derek Funkhouser (The Walking Dead: Something to Fear).
