One of the things Konami has excelled at in recent years has been the work done on their anthology collections for their back catalog. They have put together another very solid assemblage of games with the Super Bomberman Collection. Revealed during the Nintendo Partners Direct, where third party publishers and devs highlight titles that are coming to the Switch and Switch 2, the Super Bomberman Collection bundles 7 titles across the Famicom, Super Famicom, NES, and SNES systems, including entries that were never released in the United States, like Super BomberMan 3-5. The games included are:
SUPER BOMBERMAN (JP, EU, US) - Mr. Karat, the evil power-hungry tyrant, and scientist Dr.Mukk! Defeat the robot army they command and thwart their ambitions!
SUPER BOMBERMAN 2 (JP, EU, US) - Our Bomberman has been captured by the sudden appearance of the vicious Bomber Quintet. For the sake of Earth's peace and his own destiny, he must confront them!
SUPER BOMBERMAN 3 (JP, EU, US) - The evil Professor Bugler has revived the vicious Five Dastardly Bombers, once defeated by Bomberman, and has begun his march towards cosmic conquest.
SUPER BOMBERMAN 4 (Japanese Verison) - Bomberman has been transported to different eras by the Four Bomber Kings. What is their purpose? And what is the mysterious entity lurking in the shadows? English localization available
SUPER BOMBERMAN 5 (Japanese Version) - A mysterious man calling himself the Emperor of another world, ‘Terrorin’. He has freed eight ‘Vicious Bombers’ from prison and begun an invasion with them as his subordinates. English localization available
BOMBERMAN (Japanese Version) - Clear all 50 Stages! The initial entry that spearheaded the franchise
BOMBERMAN II (Japanese Version) - Bomberman's sequel. The introduction of versus play
Bonus features include a Boss Rush, save states, a rewind function, "BOMB Radio", which allows you to listen to the soundtracks and create your own playlists. And of course screen filters, for aesthetic tastes. Being the Nintendo line of Bomberman titles, it is a little disheartening that the PC Engine?TurboGrafx-16 incarnations aren't included in this collection. Perhaps next time. there are a lot of BomberMan games throughout the decades.

The Bomberman Collection is currently available for the Nintendo Switch|Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. A physical version of the game is planned to be released in August of 2026. A Collector's Edition is planned for the Switch. It appears the Switch 2 physical version will just be a Deluxe edition.
